New residents
Moving into a residential care home can be a major upheaval in someone's life, and not always a welcome one. We make sure we have extra carers on hand when a new resident joins our community. They help new residents to become familiar with their new surroundings and introduce them to other residents.
It's often the little things that make all the difference. Does a new resident prefer to be addressed as Dorothy, Dot, or Mrs Jones? What time does she like to get up in the morning? Does she prefer breakfast in bed or sitting in the dining room? What interests does she have? Which newspaper does she read? We make sure we find out the answers and act on them.
Nothing is too much trouble.
